Design & Consultancy Cell

Design and Research Consultancy Cell has been established with an intention to extend a platform for students and teachers of architecture for carrying out research in architectural design. It deals with innovative design approach in Urban Design & Planning, Environmental Science and Engineering, Interior Designing and Decoration, Landscape design, etc.

With the vision to develop a vibrant knowledge – oriented environment and a centre of architectural excellence for creating a sustainable humane habitat, SMMCA has instituted the Cell to bring a positive change in the built environment and contribute to sustainable development of our habitat through practice and research. The Design and Research Consultancy Cell has been set up under SMMCA’s mission “to develop an ambient environment for research and sharing knowledge”.

Objectives

To engage in projects which addresses urban and rural issues and undertake planning, environment, design, landscape with focus on developing a humane habitat.
To provide a platform for faculty members and students to engage in professional practice.
To develop a space for information assimilation on architecture by creating a data bank.

About SMMCA

Smt Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture offers a five year degree course in Architecture (B.Arch), two year post graduate course (M.Arch in Architecture Education and Urban Planning) and Ph.D. in architecture.
